Went to heaven on February 4, 2003

When Dad said he wanted a new electronic toy, Mom
said she wanted a new toy also. Mom's toys were jewelry, but this time she
said she wanted a puppy. In the pet store she saw a pen of puppies and one
was all black. Unlike most puppies when picked up, he did not get excited
or kiss her. After some time she put him back down and looked at him as she
walked away. As most puppies would whine, he just gave her a look like
, "I'm not going to beg you to take me.". Well, that is how you came
to our family.
You quickly learned though that the family cat, "Katy Kate" was the boss.
We always said you were all heart stemming from your attitude and being born
on February 14.
Even though you were a family member, you chose and adored Johnny. He taught
you all of your tricks from shaking hands to riding in a car with a seat
belt. You always had to have the seat belt on. When Johnny came through
the door, you became so excited you would almost knock him down and cry with
joy.
You warned and protected your family and possessions. The street belonged
to you; but any other place did not need protecting.
Your favorite foods were Fresh Potato Chips, Frosty Paws and Birthday
Cake. You thought everyone's birthday cake belonged to you and you always
got your share.
Katy Kat was your bestest buddy. You would play and sleep together. As time
went by you became 5 times bigger than Kates, but Kates was still the boss.
You both would play/fight and you would give in to him.
It is a very sad time that you had to leave, but we didn't want our loyal
family member to suffer. Katy Kat is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.
Together you can both play and fight again forever. Always know that we love
you and will miss you deeply and in time we will be together again.
Rest peacefully now, dear one.
