Our beloved "Kates" adopted us. We had no choice. He kept sneaking into the house & would lay in our box of computer paper. After putting him outside for the 100th time that first day, I finally gave up even though in 3 weeks we would be moving across country some 3000 miles from where we were at the time. I told John that we should keep him. He had a broken leg & a tear in his ear so we got both fixed and kept him.

He was our most loved pet. He knew we needed love and gave unconditionally.   At 13 and 1/2  he had liver shut down and left us to go to his place in heaven.  We had him cremated and he rests on our china cabinet today, in a small satin lined box with his picture decoupaged and his Memorial Plaque attached. Inside are some of his fur clippings, collar, tags and his favorite toy.

We all miss him physically, but emotionally he will always be with us. When ever I feel down I stand in front of his little heavenly home and after a few moments I feel better because I know he is with me.   Although we now have two new cats and we love them, "Kates" is always First in our Hearts. We love and miss you, buddy, and will see you again some day.
